Depends on where you are going in the Bronx. Bronx is a big borough. If you don't mind spending time you can take the 7 to Manhattan and get off at Grand Central-42 St and transfer to the 4,5,6 which can get you to central/Northeastern and Eastern Bronx, respectively. If you get off at Times Square you can take the 1 or 2 to get you to Western Bronx (1) or central bronx (2). However if you're going to Eastern Bronx like Parkchester or central-south bronx (Bronx Zoo) I SUGGEST you take the 7 train to MAIN ST-FLUSHING and take the Q44 because that trip is MUCH shorter. Its about 30 min just to Manhattan not mentioning Manhattan to Bronx. The trip to Flushing is 10 min and the bus runs every 10 mins (I believe the bus ride is 30+ min). However since you want to take the train you can use MTA.info for specifics!

I believe the 7 train is the closest train in your neighborhood. So take the 7 train Manhattan bound to 42St-Grand Central and take the 4, 5, or the 6 train Bronx bound. 4 & 5 are express and 6 is local.
