Who says they're illegal? Better go tell Chrysler Corp that all of their Dodge Vipers are illegal.

Sidepipes MAY NOT be legal if they bypass the car's mufflers, and dump exhaust straight out the side of the car. Otherwise, if they are installed properly and meet the state and local vehicle code requirements, they should be OK.

i dont think they atre alll illegal i think in some states i know someone with them on his nova. never gets pulled over
