First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on your sobriety so far!! We all have times that we feel vunerable. I always think of the crap I was in and the life I lead versus today's lifestyle. Just know you have support out there, including me! I find that surrounding myself with people who are positive, clean, and sober is the BEST therapy. Good luck, and again, CONGRATS!

First, AA does work. Second, keep busy. Exercise is great, because you will feel good about yourself when you are done. Find something that you like to do that doesn't involve drinking. Sounds hard, but maybe you will discover something about yourself if you explore new avenues...photography, writing, swimming, flying, kayaking, cooking, Big Brother/Big sister, volunteer not only to help others, it will make you feel better? Try something that you would have never tried before. You will meet new people and find yourself. Stay with it, you are on the right track, it will only pay off for you.

I have been dry for over two years now. I decided to start jogging weekly and decided to take on a challenge that only a few dare: to run a marathon. The challenge became my goal. I started running and progressively increased my mileage weekly. I ran my first marathon last year and completed my second one a few days ago. I keep running and have stayed dry. Good luck!

I know the answer!! GOD. You may not be religious but when you are doing it think will this help me in heaven? People dont think of the after life they want to live on their wants and needs now not thinking of later as well.
