It depends on how tall you are? Are your parents fat? What about your grand parents? Being fat does not just come from no where. Fat also depends on your age and growth patterns as well as habits. I would like to know why you are asking this question in the first place because it really concerns me that someone your age would even ask, so I already know there are issues here. How you see yourself is how the world will also see you. Do something if you think you have a weight issue, and I mean something right and happy and do not look at the models in fashion magazines and at betty jo in school who has all the friends. Models in magazines have entire, whole teams of other people working on them to make them look that good, and betty jo in school may be popular but she ain't got your obvious more mature outlook on the world. Ten years old is a very difficult age in my family line, as persons are leaving thier child like bodies slowly behind and often feel and worse look kinda funny. The boys always have and likely always will gain weight and alot of it.....and it hasn't failed yet...they enter into a time of serious growth that in my family is common between 10 and 12 and then they turn into skinny toothpicks once again. I want you to go to your school counselor, because she can see you where it is I can't see you and I want you to simply tell her, "Iam concerned about my weight and I want to know my Weight Ratio for my Height and that you have health concerns. Tell the counselor, that you would like it, that if she can't help you, that she directs you to someone who can. Print this off of your computer so if the person you go to isn't real you can tell them I said that all self esteem issues no matter how minor are very serious. Also you can go to your school library and look up stuff on how the body grows or ask one of your trusted teachers. I assure you that at ten years old while you may have some pudge going on there, it is directly because you are in the very beginnings of a growth spurt and I believe this is the first of 2 or 3, not so sure on girls. You may notice other odd things between the age 10 and 12, oh like for a spell your arms may be a bit longer than your shirt sleeve, or your feet seem huge, whatever happens, do know this you will make it, and in the end maturing up into a young adult is worth it.

Not necessarily - how tall are you? Do you get any exercise? Are you eating well-balanced meals? If so, please do not worry - you are too young!
