The Rapture is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible itself. The idea of a Rapture came about through a British monk during the 19th century who was labeled as a dispansationalist. They also called the capital city of hell pandemonium and were the cause of some nasty events during their time. It has been adopted into modern american christian thinking and is now becoming the source of some hatred towards other groups but also has become a source of hope for many others. The same effect happened centuries ago. I am not saying that this view would lead to violence or anything i am just saying it happened before and caused problems and appears to be happening again. its a double pointed belief.

The Word Rapture was conjured up the same way as the so called " Slain In The Spirit"” as they say—that is, they fall into a kind of trance in which they cannot move but seem to be aware of what is happening around them. Interestingly, such things are not unlike the fits and trances that involve those other religious healers, the voodoo priests and witch doctors. .. and the " Left Behind " fiction Books that are supposed to be based on the Bible....Right.

It's not.
Before 1830 you can find no mention of the Rapture Doctrine. That alone ought to send up a red flag. In fact, the word "rapture" is not in the Bible. So, where did this false doctrine come from?
In 1830 Margaret MacDonald had an evil revelation on her sick bed, supposedly from God, in which she was shown what would become "The Rapture Of The Church", among other names.
And, from The Incredible Cover-up by Dave Macpherson, Appendix A, you'll read:
"I felt this needed to be revealed, and that there was great darkness and error about it; but suddenly what it was burst upon me with a glorious light." - Margaret MacDonald (Spring of 1830)
MacDonald's revelation would have probably died with her; however, two preachers grabbed it, cleaned it up, and presented it to Christendom. Today, you'll hear many pastors promoting that false doctrine from pulpits.
Ezekiel 13:19-20:
19 And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?
20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly,
The "fly away doctrin" or "rapture doctrin".

The word Rapture is not in the BIBLE, But the BIBLE does say that...
1 Corinthians 15:52
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead in Christ shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Those who support the idea (I DO NOT!!!) claim that the idea of a "rapture" comes from these Scriptures:
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." (1 Thess, 4:16-18).
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality” (1 Cor. 15:51-53).

No where.
It is a Roman Catholic, counter-Reformation teaching to destroy the faith of God's people. It was started by a Jesuit called Ribera. I was a former fervent, ardent Rapturist, until the LORD graciously delivered me from that damnable false gospel and false spirit(s) (Gal 1:8-9, 2 Cor 11:4). Search the Scriptures and know it well.
Unto the die-hard rapturists:
Q1) If I had NOT received Jesus as my personal Saviour in His First Advent, is it at all possible that I may accept Him as my personal Saviour when He comes as a Judge in His Second Advent?
Q2) if the Holy Spirit is removed as taught in the rapture, how is anyone ever going to be regenerated, if the Holy Spirit is TAKEN AWAY(2 Thess 2:7)?
Q3) In John 18:36, Jesus said,……My kingdom is not of this world…… Alas, Two thousand years later, the ‘Pharisees and scribes’ are teaching the people of God, THERE WILL BE A MILLENNIAL kingdom on EARTH!!
Q4) If Christ is truly reigning in heaven today, why would He need to reign from the earth, for a thousand years? Subtly, the ‘pre-mill rapturists’ deny His present reign on earth; although NONE would have the modicum of true evangelical integrity to ADMIT IT.
Q5) Where is Jerusalem today? Is it physical or spiritual? See Gal 4:26, Heb 11:10, 12:22, Rev 21:2.
Q6) Here is the The ‘pre-mill rapturists’ look forward to the re-building of the earthly Jerusalem Temple to re-institute animal sacrifice (how they ever gonna do it with the two mosques there, I do not know). The re-introduction and re-institution of animal sacrifice is an ABOMINATION unto Jehovah God the Father, as if the sacrifice of His only begotten Son is not enough (see John 19:30). In Jehovah’s eternal wisdom, which I am eternally grateful; He allowed not one BUT TWO mosques to be built, Dome of Rock and Al-Aqsa. Awake, awake, the Temple WILL NEVER EVER BE BUILT. A deceitful ‘pre-mill rapturist’ (Jeremiah 17:9) may deny re-introduction animal sacrifice for salvation, but if they are honest in their interpretation of Daniel 9:27(…… And he (the Antichrist) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he (the Antichrist) shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate)…….SUPPOSEDLY the Antichrist will stop the animal sacrifice. My point is, they hope to re-introduce animal sacrifice. WHY ANY PROFESSING CHRISTIAN WOULD EVER WANT TO HELP RE-INTRODUCE THE ABOMINATION OF ANIMAL SACRIFICE AS A WAY OF SALVATION IN THE NEW TESTAMENT BAFFLES ME. It is sheer delusion. May God have mercy to save us.
Q7) If you missed the boat (sorry for the pun), do you think you have a second chance? The rapturist gospel says yes, in the times of tribulation and the millennial period; Noah says 'NO'! And Noah, still says 'NO'!
If you are really interested in the understanding of the book of Revelation, please feel free to ask. Shalom.
OK
Rev 1 = key to unlock rest of book
Rev 2-3 = epochs of Church history culminating to the last epoch, the Laodicean epoch as we are now.
Rev 4 onwards, parallel world history, parallel to ch2-3, until its end with the destruction of mother of harlots.

Nowhere.
There is some mention in Revelation of Jesus coming like a thief in the night to judge the wicked, but it says nothing of everybody who picked the right flavor of Christianity being sucked up into Heaven on the spot.

The word "rapture" does not appear. Luke 17:34-36 is the closest I know of (I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. 36 Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.”) -Not that I believe in it.
