im 21 yrs old and im 5ft 7in and weigh 115 pounds. i work an 8 hour job that makes me walk at least 3 miles or more each day. i only eat 2 meals a day (around 400-500 calories total) one at lunch (around 11:30am -12:20am) and then after work(5pm). I know it's not enough cuz i sometimes feel a little exhausted throughout the day. im not trying to lose weight or anything but how many calories do i need to stay healthy and get me through the day?

at your age and weight 2,500 cals is right about where you want to be. shoot for 40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% fats.

eating breakfast will do wonders for your energy levels. by not eating breakfast you are basically in a hypoglycemic state all day. not only does this have a negative effect on the metabolism and energy levels but it increases the levels of blood lipids.
