I am trying to get into this program called People to People. Its really great, and going to be a lot of fun. Basically it is letting me travel to Australia, New Zealand, anf Figi, to learn about there school life, there goverment, wildlife. EVERYTHING. President Dwight D. Eisenhower founded the orginization because he beleaved that if people from different cultures could come together in peace and form friendships, so could countries. This program would give me college or high school credit, and could be my ticket into a college. The thing is, it costs $6,500 to get into it. theres no way my moms paying for that!! so i was planning out my fundraiseing methods and so far....
Cans in resturaunts and what not with this lil intro to the prgram on it asking for donations
Sponsors, im just gunna send letters to every bussiness around.
Sending letters to family
and everything else i can
so if i made a website and you came across it would you donate?

No, (sorry, LOL) but try this site! http://www.prosper.com/ It may be perfect for what you're trying to do, just click on "how it works" and that should give you a basic idea. I haven't used the site yet but I plan to. (As a lender.) Sounds like a really cool program, good luck!

We really agree with jcravens, and we think her advice is spot-on, especially about being very clear and open in your fundraising approach.

In terms of your ideas, you may not need to make an entire website. There are lots of fundraising widgets out there that you could put on your social network pages. One example is www.chipin.com PayPal also has a fundraising widget.

A great website reviewing your options and providing tips is Social Actions. You can check that out at http://www.socialactions.com/

First of all, you need to identify how much you CAN pay, and be up front about it in your solicitations. That will say to donors that you aren't asking for the entire trip to be funded by others, that you and your family are willing to pay a significant portion of the required fee. You also need to say in your solicitations what you are going to do, personally, to make money in order to contribute to your trip -- in other words, you need to talk about what work YOU are going to do (child care, house cleaning, yard work, whatever) to make money for your trip.

Do NOT "just send letters to every business around" before you do this -- and for sure, make sure your letters are better written than your post here (which is full of spelling and grammar errors).

You can approach local service clubs -- Kiwanis, Lions, Rotary, etc. -- to see if they would be willing to provide donations for your trip, in return for your doing a presentation when you get back for the group about your experience.

You can also approach friends about joining you in fundraising activities, such as selling your services (cleaning windows, mowing lawns, etc.) to your family and neighbors. The first time you do such, take lots of photos and prepare a press release for your local newspaper, talking about why you are fundraising.

The book "How To Live Your Dream of Volunteering Overseas" has many fund raising ideas. If you can't afford to buy it, ask your library to order it so that you can read it.
