If I am a Coast Guard Reservist and a college student at the same time, how long will I need to serve? I couldn't find the info about it. Thanks!

Every military enlistment, regardless of branch, is for a total of 8 years. However, you could enlist for say 4 years (just as an example). What that means is you would serve 4 years in a reserve unit (doing the whole 1 weekend a month, 2 weeks a year thing). However, remember that you actually signed up for 8 years, meaning you have 4 years left on your contract.
The remainder of the contract (4 years) would be served in an "Inactive" status. Which basically means for all intents and purposes that you are out. You wouldn't drill, yadda, yadda, yadda. However, if during that 4 year inactive status the Coast Guard decided to recall you, they have that choice.

there is not any distinction in enlistment or commissioning standards between the lively accountability and Reserve Coast take care of - ANY analysis of depressive sickness is an computerized Perma-disqualifier. we don't choose or choose human beings in our service that have psychological deficiencies - and melancholy is a significant deficiency!!
