Well because it is totally painful to wait for anything like that for too long (even a few minutes can be a killer), I would give him 24 hours and then call him to talk. Why sufferer any longer than that. Maybe he won't want to talk, after all, he did break up with you. Call him one time, one time only. If he finds after that, that he truly loves you, he will find a way to get you back......and he probably knows it won't be very hard to do. Just be yourself....don't give away more emotionally than you receive in return........it's great to love, but you must find someone who is willing to love in return if this person isn't.......maybe it's worth the call and maybe it isn't............your call

Wait for him to call. If the call doesn't come, then move on.
