There are two filters. One in the tank at the pick up tube. the other inline under the truck. Just follow the fuel line to find it and be sure to double wrench it to take off the lines or you will damage the fittings. Some have quick disconnect fittings that require a special tool. Good Luck!

ON THE 4.0 ENGINE THE FUEL FILTER IS LOCATED ABOVE THE REAR AXLE NEAR THE FRONT OF THE FUEL TANK.
THE SAME FOR THE 4.7 ENGINE.
GOOD LUCK

its along the frame rail..........tucked neatly up where youll have to feel for it.....im sure you know its a small round plastic type canister....best bet is buy a new one.....around 7 $ and then youll know what yer looking for.......youll need needle nose plyers....the hoses are clamped on each end where the hoses go in and out.....make sure to put it back on the direction it tells you....should have an inlet and outlet arrow....good luck....and NO SMOKING! or rubbing rocks matches or wood together while replacing!!
