I've been clicker training my kitten and he's not only calmed down a lot, and become much better behaved, but it's a lot of fun for both of us.
I've always trained my cats, but this is the first one that I've used clicker training with, and it's working beautifully.
Most of my cats have liked playing "fetch".
A laser pointer toy is fun, just be careful of kitty's eyes.
I grow a pot of catnip on the windowsill where they sleep; they just help themselves anytime they want a little nip.

Ball on a string. The most fun is to sit on a
chair or the couch, put your hand behind your
back and scratch the surface of the fabric.
The kitties will investigate with teeth and claws.
As a matter of fact, you can scratch the surface
of any thing as long as it makes a noise and
they will do the same thing.

When I was raising kittens, the most fun they had was pulling a cord (from sweat pants) that I had tied a belled collar to, all around the floor. They also loved to "attack" socks that were tied together, roll all over them and pretent to kill them. Also, I'd get a fly swatter and "swish" it back and forth across the floor, and they'd chase that. After they got a little bigger, I could get them to do back flips, by making the fly swatter go up/around like a ferris wheel. They'd try to follow it, and end up turning flips. Almost anything that you sit down and play w/them with.......wadded up paper, plastic bag (rolled up and tied into a knot, so they can pick it up and carry it around), paper sack to "hide" in....etc. Just use your imagination. Good luck.

Every cat I have ever owned LOVE laser pointers. It's such a mystery to them. I had one cat that everytime I even picked it up, he would go into a fit of meows. It's so funny to watch them chase it! Try it out!!

Play "string game" with a shoelace. Dangle it in front of her & let her play with it.
