For well over a month now, I've found live fleas and flea fecal matter on my dog. I bathed her a few weeks ago and flea medicine down her shoulder blades to her back, but the bugs are still all over her legs and belly. About a week ago I got a flea collar for her, but the parasites are still there.
I'm about to wash her again, but I don't know if it will make any difference. She's rarely in contact with other dogs, so I can't figure out why they keep appearing.
How do I get rid of them once and for all?

My dog is golden retriever-chow chow-border collie mix, if that has anything to do with it.
Also, her bed is inside but she never uses it. She sleeps all around the house, which probably spreads the fleas.

Use head lice shampoo, thats what I use when I wash rescued puppies instead of flea shampoo. It works much better.
Head lice shampoo actually has the same exact stuff in it, except head lice shampoo has more, and flea shampoo has more water. When I used to use flea shampoo, I usually had to use it more than once on the same dog/puppy. When I use head lice shampoo, I only need to use it once and the fleas are gone.

get some flea bombs for the house and yard. wash all the bedding that your dog comes into contact with.
you have a flea infestation in your home and thats why they keep coming back.
after the house is bombed flea dip her again. if it has been a few weeks since her last dip, and if it has you shouldnt put any more chemicals on her. so go to the store and get some lemon joy, it has to be the real lemon joy and that will kill all the fleas on her like the regular dip will..
if you do all that your flea problem should be taken care of, you can also get some centry from you vet and that will get rid of fleas also, flea collars dont really work inless you get one from your vet.

No, breed has nothing to do with it.
What spot-on did you use? If it's from a pet store, it won't work so don't waste your money.
Get some Frontline or Revolution from a vet, and a house spray. Don't bath the dog for 48 hours before or after applying the spot-on because then it can't work - flea shampoos are also useless so don't waste your time.

you could desire to handle the interior your place as a fashion to do away with those pesky little adult men in any different case they are going to easily re-infest your canines, you could desire to discover a "Flea Fogger" which you will normally discover at your nearby ironmongery save(Lowes,or homestead Depot),confirm the label says it kills the two grownup fleas and flea eggs, the only thank you to give up the fleas thoroughly is to handle the pets with a reliable high quality product and deal alongside with your place additionally. Fleas additionally carry worms and parasites so which you will could desire to have all your pets checked for that too, placed all your pets on a reliable high quality flea/tick preventative alongside with Comfortis or Advantix Plus,i do no longer recommendd you utilize Frontline as they have been having some subject concerns with there product no longer working. Fleas are severe and this difficulty should not be taken gently. And in basic terms endure in innovations it purely takes one flea to start a super infestation of your place, pets or maybe your self.
