Was there a pre existing religion that worshipped god by the name of allah, can anyone give a link to historic evidence?

2007-11-11 11:36:39 · update #1

I'm just looking for historical stuff, as I'm kind of an anthropology buff.
I don’t believe in religions.
So no religious dogma or whatever, just historical links please

Yes it is true, he was the moon god of muhammads tribe.
Hence the moon as one of the symbols for islam, the other is a sword, if you don't worship the moon god you fall by the sword.

Yes this is from a Christian websight but it is an article on archeological finds in the middle east. It's the quickest one I could find so with a little more research I'm sure you can find a secular one as well.

1. Yes, GodS were being worshipped long before by ALL pagans.

2. " can anyone give a link to historic evidence?"

No they cant. There is no real historical evidence that Christ was ever here. All there is , is hear-say, and supposed ancient scrolls written by everyone under the sun, except Jesus. You will not see anything in any History books anywhere--- that Jesus walked the Earth. Its all just stories to make people believe in something - - - - a type of social "mass-hysteria" of "mass-hypnosis".

Religion is nothing more than hype. There is NO real proof, anywhere - - - only speculation.

Arabs did worshipp Allah and perform Haj in highly corruped way. Some corrupt groups of people performed Haj circling around Kaaba nude (all men and women). Their excuse was that we should not perform Haj in the clothes in which we commit sins. The leaders who were care takers of this great annual event didn't care and allowed every corrupt way so that people from all around Arabia keep coming and spend their money in Mecca. All they cared was getting rich from the money the pilgrims brought with to spend there. . Drinking dancing and prostitution was normal in the days of Haj in such a big gathering. Thre was not any crime that did not happen during Haj in Mecca. They were the worst kind of people.

God created a man Mohammad from amongst them who didn't pariticipate in any of the nonsenses they did all his life. God made him Prophet at age 40. He changed such a nation as the most pious and so devoted worshippers of Allah that we long to see that kind of people now. He changed the entire Arabia into such a fierce and fearless of death fighting force that no any force of Romans, Byzantininan and Iranians empires could defeat Muslims. God used them to liberate all lands by Meditterian sea from the outside force. Muslims established a great Empire on Faith and civilzation that mankind has not seen any where in the world with peace and justice for all.

Allah became consistently there. he's an analogous God that the Christians, and Jews, and the different monotheistic faith believes in. although, with the different Prophets, diverse religions emerged. Judaism, became the middle as they developed with the coaching of Moses. Then Jesus got here alongside, and the Christians branched off Judaism and created Christianity. Then got here Muhammad, while Islam became developed and with it got here the holy e book, and all the different factors of our faith. each and all the Prophets, did no longer talk approximately Islam, they simply spoke with regard to the oneness of God, yet while Muhammad got here, the responsibilities have been created. Islam merely potential submission to God, which might in fact being believing in him, and praying to him on your themes, and thanking him. the folk on listed under are such arseholes. i does not have faith a million/2 of what those human beings say, myself alongside with, reason i'm slightly biased. once you're severe approximately sorting out the easily answer, come across a discovered Muslim pupil, they're going to tel you the the final option answer, and could no longer shove their ideals down your throat or evaluate you an fool.

There was remnants of the religion of Abraham. If you are referring to hubal then no it was a moon god and this was the whole moon.

Islam only used the crescent as a symbol in the 16th century not before so how could it be from anywhere else?

Allah is merely the Arabic word for "God," the same God that Jews and Christians and Zoroastrians had been worshipping for centuries...so the answer is yes, and they weren't pagans, they were simply worshipping in the old Judeo-Christian tradition...that is, with a few exceptions--and it was these exceptions that the prophet Mohammed was out after. When the world can finally figure out that to be Muslim is to also be Christian and Jewish, we'll all live in a bit more peace.

Allah is the God of Abraham and Issac, the God of Judiasm and Christianity. So, um, yes. It's just a different name.

Read "the History of God" by Karen Armstrong, then come and ask more questions.

Yes,

Allah was being worshipped long before Mohammed came as the final Ishmaelite Prophet..........and in fact Allah was worshipped from the time of Ishmael, the first son of Abraham.

The Kaaba was built by Abraham and Ishmael and stands right beside the miraculous water well given to the baby Ishmael mentioned in the Bible.

Abraham taught his son about the One God and Ishmael taught his progeny about Allah, the Lord of Abraham.

The Holy name of the Lord of Abraham (ALLAH) was preserved amongst the Ishmaelites since they were not hellenized, invaded, scattered or massacred like their cousins --- the Israelites.

As time went on the Arabs drifted into idolatry until the final Abrahamic Prophet brought Monotheism back to the Ishmaelites and they were chosen to fulfill the covenant.

The Holy name of the ONE GOD in Aramaic is ALLAHA.

Jesus, who spoke Aramaic, called God ALLAHA.

==================

Abraham was chosen to be a Great Prophet of the Creator of the Universe.

Abraham had two sons who were both to be blessed with a Holy Covenant at separate times.

The Holy Covenant are promises from The Lord of Abraham in return for taking on the responsibility to "Make Allah/God known to the World" and establishing the “laws of God” on the Earth.

Ishmael - first son - ISLAM
Issac - second son - JUDAISM & Christianity

JUDAISM is the covenant through Isaac.
ISLAM is the covenant through Ishmael.
