I wouldnt put my child in a ball pit. Its a shame because they were so much fun for us as kids but yes, society has once again ruined something for our children. they have found things in ball pits like siringes and things like that. Ive even heard a story of a toddler dieing from this. Try an indoor play area at a mcdonnalds. they no longer have ball pits.
