Not to focus on our problems. We are to focus on Jesus. The best way to keep your focus on Jesus is to remember what he has done for you in the past, and turn to him.

I can't say I learned anything new during the church service but then it was still a wonderful time of worship and being reminded how great God is. In Sunday school, I learned that our high school youth do listen attentively when we talk about domestic violence and I think they took away some valuable knowledge that they will apply to help others or themselves.

What I learned in church today had nothing to do with the mass itself, but was more a feeling I had. I learned that there, in that house of God, I belong. I've never really belonged anywhere in my life, save here, with my kids. How am I going to apply that to my life? I have no idea. But that's good enough for me for the time being.

I learned - had reaffirmed - that most of the "leaders" in Christian Churches have become so judgmental and stiff in their beliefs that they believe what they believe even if it has gone past Biblical and has no true basis in the Bible. Christ preached love and acceptance and compassion. Our elders teach condemnation, prejudice and judgment. They are so set in their ways, it reminds me of the Jewish leaders at the time of Christ's birth. They didn't accept him as the messiah because he didn't fit their pre-conceived notion of how he would arrive. I wonder how many of our Christian leaders will not recognize Christ if he returns again because he doesn't arrive in the way they expect him to. I think I am done with organized religion. I love God so much and know he can't be forced in a box with a bunch of know it all hypocrites.

Myself and my beautiful fiancee Megan (Mee-Gun, NOT May-Gun) attend a wonderful service every Wednesday night. On our way home driving past the homeless shelter we talk about doing good things for others, as soon as we pay off our new vehicles. I WILL NOT have Megan driving anything older than a 2007 model vehicle.

I attend a Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and it the best spiritual and social justice experience I have ever come across. Beliefs are examined, complacency is challenged and growth encouraged and I experience growth EVERY SINGLE TIME I ATTEND. Yes, I learn new things and apply them to my life all the time.

It was all about free will. We have the choice of free will. Why did God give man free will? Is it for man to choose to do something bad today, say something hurtful today, or go out and harm someone today? The answer is no. God gave us free will to choose what is good. To choose His Son Jesus and to accept goodness in their life. Not to think or focus on what is bad. To feel and see all things in the light and eyes of Jesus. Free Will to choose life (goodness).
