Many people say that religion is "man-made." I can agree with that statement. So how can you worship an entity that you believe to be The Creator without aligning yourself to a "religion?"

I was raised a Christian and have kept up the charade for decades until I finally couldn't make it make sense any longer. I recently found the Tao Te Ching. I felt such a sense of relief and joy! It might be what you are looking for. Wayne Dyer's new book "Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life" is a wonderful place to start for a great overview of this wonderful way of life.

I believe all aspects of "god" are man-made. But in my case I believe that there is an essence or spirituality out there, the All, or the universe itself. I worship life and its cycles, I can call this "god" or Gaea or whatever. People made gods to answer questions, and to help them understand their own place in the universe. I do not believe that the creator was a single sentient being but rather the laws of nature and physics are the universal creators. And yet, I still believe in gods. Go figure :) The one thing in this world we can be absolutely sure about is that faith has nothing to do with the facts...

I believe in a universal spirit that is good, moral, and that hold the universe together as one. I am not alligned to any religion, but my talent and focus is in the spiritual. So I have well developed intuition, that connects me with the spiritual side of life strongly. I have trained this well with meditation and mind-body exercises. I am into this reality, and believe in reincarnation. I do try to connect with God, for guidance and inspiration. I do not worship God. I wish their was a religion up to my standards. One that would focus on dealing with the problems of this world, and would be open, to the best and newest in spiritual ideas, and training techniques.

I think that you need to explore religions, look at how people explain the cosmos, and see what makes sense to you, we all have to worship the "cosmos" in our own way, even if it means disregarding it to find comfort. Religion is about finding comort and hope in our difficult world. I believe in harmony and that something exists which can bring us all together to exist in harmony.
