Yes he did. He said,

"We are giving everybody something to cheer about and we're having a d**n good time doing it".

He probably will not get fined. The word is a curse word. It means "to bring a curse upon". The word is really not a concern to the FCC and if he gets a fine depends on how "family friendly" Nascar wants to drivers to be.

Wikipedia has a list of the "seven dirty words" prohibited by the FCC. Also there is a certain criteria that expressions have to fall under that would make a word or expression be considered profane. The way Jimmie used that word doesn't fall under those criterias.

Also there is a time period during the day that those conditions fall under. Between 6 a.m and 10 p.m are the times the FCC holds those restrictions.

Also any TV 13 inches or larger must have some means of blocking channels from being received at users choice according to federal guidelines.

What Jr said a few years back was considered one of the seven dirty words.

You know, you can say that on here... Damn... It is supposedly not as bad as the S or the F word. Maybe they have the same policy in Nascar.

No, he won't get a fine. You can hear that word on network TV. Driver's only get fined if they say one of the FCC's seven deadly curse words.

With 90% of the fans in the stands and,95% of the t.v audience, saying it,when Jimmie crossed the line,I'm surprised anyone picked it up.

Jimmie did say that, but NASCAR doesn't penalize for that word. They only penalize for words that begin with F or S.

Yes, he said damn. I don't believe that is one of the words not allowed to say on camera. But you never know with NASCAR.
