Crepes (Add Fruit and Whipped Cream on top to make them sweet.)

INGREDIENTS
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter, melted

DIRECTIONS
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and the eggs. Gradually add in the milk and water, stirring to combine. Add the salt and butter; beat until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each crepe. Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly.
Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown. Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side. Serve hot.

How about a nice fruit salad. Cut up whatever kind of fruit you want, make a sauce out of the juice one an orange and a little powdered powdered sugar or just serve the fruit chopped in a bowl. Very few steps. You can leave the peel on the apple but remove it on the orange, cantaloupe, watermelon and honeydew - or whatever kind of fruit you want.

Another you could make - if you want to do everything from a can - take a can of bing cherries, a can of mandarin orange slices, mini marshmallows, chopped nuts, and a small container of sour cream. Mix together, refrigerate, and serve the next day. Don't know what that recipe might have to do with your French class but the first one could be served in France.

Can you cook on the stove? If so, you could make crepes - which are French - and you could serve it with syrup in a bottle. No need to get fancier than that if you want it simple - or with jams.

A french classic - and an easy one, is Real Mayonaise- easy, and totally different than the stuff in jars. Just cut up a crusty loaf of french bread to smear it on- and the class will love it and be amazed!

Real Mayo
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of ground white pepper
- 1 tablespoon of hot mustard paste
- 1 dash of vinegar
- 100 ml oil (approx.
6 1/2 tablespoons)

Put in a bowl in the following order: yolk, salt, pepper, mustard, vinegar.

Whip vigourously with a small whisk (a fork or tablespoon will do), gradually incorporating the oil a dash at a time.

Please note : ingredients and bowl must be at room temperature.

Not sure if you need a French recipe or just a recipe. When I took a French class we had to translate a recipe and this is the one I used: http://www.kron.com/Global/story.asp?S=3657425 Very few ingredients and steps so it was nice and easy to do :) Good luck!

Egg Salad
3-4 hardboiled eggs
1.5 tablespoons mayonnaise/ miracle whip
about 1 tsp mustard

Remove eggs from shells. Mash in bowl until egg white is in small pieces. Add mayo and mustard. Mix well.
Alternatively, just had a thought (cause I use this for sandwiches)--why not make a ham and cheese sandwich? That would be even easier!

Chocolate Truffles. You get a candy bar (just chocolate) and unwrap it. Break it into even pieces. Roll each piece and roll them in cocoa powder. That is what I call an easy recipe. Keep this sweet in a cool place like the refrigerator.
