Not since the 90's has any NASCAR driver won 4 races in a row. Looks like Johnsons a shoe-in for the cup. Anyone but Gordon.

Yep and if he wins next week he will equal Petty mark of 1971. Nut he has to win 11 in a row to Beat Pettys Mark of 10 straight!!!!!

I believe they said 1998, and it was Gordon who won the four in a row that year. He also won the championship that year.

Jimmie has to finish 18th or better next week to take it all home. A nice comfy cushion, but not a guarantee. It will be interesting to see if he just rides around and plays it safe next week, or if he goes for number 5 in a row!! Which would mark him in the record books even farther.

Gordon is the only one life with even a chance - Jimmy has been incredible all year - 10 wins! Wow

But Jeff had a good year too - congrats to Hendricks!

I'm a Junior fan, and he didn't have a chance this season. You can't argue with Johnson's performance, and I believe he'll take the championship next week. I'm looking ahead and hoping that Jr. will have a great year in 2008.
