No, god is not sick. He's imaginary.

Because they don't exist gods never intervene to prevent suffering and they allow mass destruction and loss of life through natural disasters.

As a result believers have to concoct excuses like this to try to justify the failure of their "loving" god to prevent these things.

If an all powerful god did exist surely they would have thought of a better way of letting us know how "lucky" we are!

Pain is what separates, the weak from the strong. Strong people can handle a lot of pain and keep on going. We live in a soft society, that is use to pain killers. Our body creates its own pain, it is no stronger than you are. People have taken on great challenges, and gone through much hardship, in order to achieve great goals. We have a lot of very serious problems in this world. A lot of them deal with suffering. We need to address these problems, even if it is painful to do so, and requires some sacrifice. In this overindulgent materialistic society, sacrifice could be quite painful. One can get tough emotionally and learn to handle pain well. I use meditation, mind-body exercises, healthy eating, and not overindulging, to toughen me up to be able to handle anything. One can train to be tough, the American Indians respected toughness. Life without pain or suffering would be life without challenge. This would not bring the most out of people.

Suffering is one of those things where it is bad at the time, but in hindsight you usually appreciate it. I don't know how you think this is sick. If we new nothing else, life would be bland. By experiencing suffering we can experience greater happiness which will last in the end.

Jesus had to suffer for all of us, when it should of been us nailed to that cross, Jesus was tempted from satan and not once did Jesus turn from the Father, we live in sin, we are the sinners and yet Jesus took our suffering,
God is the one who had mercy for us, so we don't have to have that fait, and sin is the world wide cause of suffering don't you think this is satans part.

I agree .. minus the god part ...

many of us take things for granted .. we dont realize how fortunate we are if we have hot meals every night .. a roof over our head .. and a warm bed to sleep in .. if you have those very simple things .. you are more fortunate then most of the world. .. you dont realize the simple things .. until its taken away

If we did not know pain and suffering how could we know it's opposite joy and happiness! It is the duality of everything

Replace the word 'god' with any person's name and the reaction is quite different. It's baffling.
