Usually 2 days will suffice, but if that does not work, try putting the roast in a big pot of cold water for a few hours. This always help speed the process along. Make sure the water does not get warm at any point, as that causes bacteria issues.

You mean thaw? Dethaw would be to refreeze it, wouldn't it?
How large is the roast? If you take it out of the refrigerator tomorrow morning and it's still firm enough that you think it may be frozen in the center, leave it on the counter while you have breakfast and get dressed, and it should probably be close enough to set up in the slow cooker. Of course, if you get up a little early to take it out, that would be even better.

Yes It should thaw out by then, Make sure to put it out on the counter about 20 minutes before cooking time; to let it get almost room temperature.
Enjoy~

Depends on weight. I put frozen roasts in the slow cooker all the time and it is always done after work.

Two days is good, but the night before you cook it let it sit in your sink overnite if your going to start to cook it in the morning.

Yes, it will but, please use the proper word! LOL If you "dethaw" something, aren't you in reality "freezing" it?! I think you mean "...thaw a roast."

You mean "unthaw?" It should be ready to go into your crockpot in the morning.
