oh wow... what a loaded statement.
From my experience... it means I'm a tom boy :0( which meant that he wasnt interested in me as anything more then a friend, but he did really like having me as a friend.
When I got a little older, I had someone tell me that, and I think it was because I had been a tom boy and understood boys a little better then some girls. Also because I didnt act like a lot of other girls, i wasnt in a sorority, i could carry on a conversation about real topics and not just gossip and beauty tips. guys appreciate girls with some intelligence.
its been a few years since ive gotten that line.... so i dont know if ive just turned into more of a girly girl (i kind of have) or if its just because im not different any more...
i guess what im trying to get at is: take it as a compliment. he obviously sees something in you that he doesnt get from other girls. But also, especially if youre a bit of a tom boy or have a lot of guy friends like i did, be careful, because it could be a "just friends" comment. because to be honest, a lot of guys like girly girls, but they like having a girl they can talk to, too.
i hope this makes sense and is helpful. to be honest, this question has really made me think...

Take it from an "old man", it means he finds you fascinating when in truth you're no different from the average girls. Sparks fly when the heart of a guy goes pumpety-pump over a girl. Learn to differentiate from the would-be casanovas, though.

Smooth guys know that girls like to feel special. In my experience, they say that to a girl mainly just because they know it is what the girl wants to hear.
Of course, someone can say it and mean it honestly. In that case, it is definitely positive. They recognize that you are unique- in a GOOD way. Although I think if a guy honestly said that to me in those exact words I might laugh a little because it's so cliche.

I think it means that he isn't very good at being a player. Or he isn't real articulate. It sounds like a BS comment he thought would woo you.
I give concrete examples when I like a girl, however women like to read more into it than they should. If I say, "You speak well, better than other women," then I get grief about how I stereotype women and don't think women can speak well.

Honestly, I would not put much weight into that statement. It's kinda empty...I mean...AREN'T you different than other girls? Aren't we all different from any other person on the planet?
You make of it what you want, but don't sit there over thinking every statement some guy makes. Trust me, we, as a whole, don't put that much thought into everything that we say.

Most of the time when a guy says "I'v never met any girl like you" or" your diffent than ther girls" he means it in a good way. And... yes! That is proably a big reason why he likes you. Your differnet and special to him and he wants you to know that.

I think it is a compliment most likely. Like special. Who wants to be like everyone else? But then again.........
Maybe a guy would also say that to some girl who is very weird & annoying.I think to properly answer this question for you, I would need more detail. Sorry. Guys can be very tricky.

it usually means that in his perspective he thinks that you have a different personality or interests than other girls he's met. 75% of the time its a good thing, 15% of the time he's saying it out of confusion, and 10% of the time he's daying it in a bad way...... most of the time though people say it in the good way willing to or not.

that depends if he means you're different in a good way or a bad way.
my boyfriend likes me and says i'm different fro mother girls because i like sports and video games.
i'm sure if you aren't a stuck up snobby girl that all you want to do is drag him shopping and all that girly stuff then he definitely means it in a good way.
you gotta make sure you do stuff he likes too..
i'm sure you know (most) guys hate spending hours in the mall and stuff like that.
