believers what do you think of this
I recently spoke with an athesit, who comes to this section alot
this was one of the most compassionate, intelligent, sweetest
human beings i have ever had the pleasure of speaking with!

His words, though, not many, were quite powerfull(filled with a deep understanding)HE has left quite an impact on my heart!!

my question is,.SINCE,ive always believed God is love,
how is this atheist able to be so kind, loving, wise and not believe in GOD?
ATHEISTS,please dont take my question the wrong way,I know that you dont have to believe in God to be a good person

it's just the kind of compassion he has is truly mind blowing
for my own personal beliefs,I just find it hard to believe that comes from something aside from God?

so,believers do yas think he is a ''closet believer''??

No, I'd say he's not a closet believer, I think he's just a person with a lot of experience in life.

So you met an atheist whose kindness and compassion significantly impressed you... ...but you can't believe such a fine human being could actually be an atheist.... ...so, in the presence of dozens of other atheists, you ask your fellow believers if they won't agree with you that this particular atheist must be deeply mistaken about his own values and actually be a "closet believer?" A good person's humanity has nothing whatever to do with their superstitious beliefs. Don't look now Sweetheart, but you're just a typical Christian bigot.

Edit: OK, I acknowledge your comment that I took your question "the wrong way." Truth be told, I've carefully re-read your question and don't see any other way to take it. Your comment, "...how is this atheist able to be so kind, loving, wise and not believe in God?" just reeks of religious bigotry. Frankly, I find your thinking utterly delusional. At this point, all I can do is suggest we respectfully agree to disagree.

God does not force Himself on anyone; His Spirit will not fill a Person that does not ask for It;

He is full of a Spirit alright : Satan comes as an Angel of Light;-------Here is a test ; Ask Him about Jesus ;The Son of the Living God, Did His Blood give Power,So that Man could be Saved; I can hear Him now; That Word causes devils to tremble; It is Imposable for a self declared Atheist to be "Filled with the Spirit of God";

If the man is an atheist, he does not have the spirit of God in him. God will not put his spirit into an unholy vessel.

Yet, just because one is an atheist, does that mean all he says and does will be a lie? Certainly not.

There are many righteous people who don't believe in God. They live better lives then those who just out right could care less about living a righteous life. Yet, does that make the atheist right completely? No.

In this world there is truth and lies. You have some who try to live a righteous life, but choose to not accept God's give of salvation. They believe they can earn their way to God. They only deceive themselves.

What I am trying to say is everyone, and I mean everyone tells the truth and lies. And because of the lies, all of mankind fall short of the glory of God. So all of mankind needs God's forgiveness. Trying to just be good on one's own is not enough.

So your friend, though portraying a good person, is like all mankind, a sinner. And if he is born again, if he does not accept God's free gift of salvation, when he suffers physical death, his soul will be cast into hell.

Yet, if a man lived a righteous life and never heard of Jesus, even when he would die, I believe he could still have a chance to be saved as did the righteous dead who were held prisoner in hell until Jesus went and set them free.

Yet, how many today can say they have not heard the gospel?

He's not a closet believer. He's an atheist.

Did you know that the 19C novelist Samuel Butler went into mild shock when he was training for the priesthood, when he discovered that children who had been baptized behaved no better than those who had not? (He was in his 20s at the time.) Your question reminds me of him - someone who seems incapable of seeing that being good has nothing to do with your god. Indeed you hardly need telling that the most wicked behaviour on earth is usually done by someone offsetting responsibility to some god or other.

So the reason he's compassionate, kind and caring, like most atheists, is because he is NOT a believer of any kind.

Open your eyes and you will see the obvious. This guy is not a closet believer, I know of very much more kind, wise and loving people who are NOT god's believer.

Oh, by the way, you DO THINK you have to believe in god to be a good person, read your own question....." how is this atheist able to be so kind, loving, wise and not believe in GOD?"

but darling .... this lady is far from being a believer
she just happens to be very compassionate
you do not need God to be a compassionate person
that comes with years of hardships , learning , loving , loosing
experience

All that video mentioned as far as "information" replaced into that once human beings have been "conversing in tongues" their recommendations activity decreased. OH MY GOD! What a revelation! You advise to tell me that once all of us is basically conversing gibberish and end questioning approximately what they are asserting, their recommendations activity decreases? Why do no longer they check out how energetic their brains have been till now they began conversing, English or in any different case; i could wager something it relatively is under while the gibberish comes. The recommendations activity is in all probability greater advantageous than while silent yet under while conversing something it relatively is sensible, for the reason which you do no longer would desire to think of to assert gibberish, as i will exhibit in a 2d. And yet another factor, if what they have been asserting certainly got here from god, how are they praying? The words pass from pass, back to god. God already is conscious their messages and requests from the commencing up as a results of fact he tells them what those messages and requests are. what's the factor? And yet another factor, if the "Holy Ghost" is composed of those human beings while they commence "praying", and that they'd commence "praying" on call for and at will, then they are telling the Holy Ghost while to return to them. In different words, they are commanding God, and that is going against the very DEFINITION of God. yet, enable me attempt conversing in tongues. i will form what I say. Time for a non secular adventure: hgusiahyTHIS bjakhgaIS herherRETARDEDhbjk religious 2d, good there. Please understand what "information" even ability till now you call something information. information would be disproved. No, I take that back. actual information would be disproved in basic terms with new information. Crap like what replaced into in that youtube video which you and that they tried to pass off as information can and could be disproved by employing slightly logic. Open a technology textbook, examine slightly with regards to the medical technique (as a results of fact this test replaced into finished horribly incorrect, and if it have been finished good, I have not have been given any doubt that the information produced could tutor YOU incorrect), after which you will attempt and make a vaguely medical declare.

You meet wonderful people from all walks of life. If Christians and atheists would quit spewing hate at one another most of them would find out the majority of people are actually good natured.
I don't think he is a 'closet believer'. I think he is just a very nice person. Just because you don't believe in God it doesn't make you a monster.

Atheists are usually very compassionate people, most people I know who are atheists are usually more compassionate than most Christians! *gasp* I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but it's the truth. Listen, most of the time, people can be compassionate to the level of your "God" without believing, it's rather common. I'm sorry if you think that this atheist is filled with "the spirit of God" but he's not, he's just a compassionate human being.

I hope this helps! ^_^

God can use anything and anybody to get a message across or to give someone what they need at any given time.

Atheists can be very intelligent and compassionate people- there are intelligent loving people and ingnorant hateful people on both sides - that is just the way it is .

The problem with atheists is not that there are not some loving compassionate , good (and I use that word loosely as Jesus said there are none good but God Himself) it is that they do not recognize that their capacity to be loving, compassionate and good comes from the very one who created them.
