I have tried the Atkins before. I lost a bit of weight, but I also got protein toxisity (sp). too much protein is very bad for your body. the best "diet" I have tried was the 6 week body makeover. I lost 20 lbs. in one week with the 6-week body makeover.
basically this is what I ate every day. you eat every 2.5 to 3 hours.
breakfast = 2 egg whites and 1/2 cup oatmeal
mid morning - 2 oz chicken 1/2 cup fruit
lunch = 2 oz chicken, turkey, or tuna 1 cup green veggies,1/2 cup rice
mid afternoon = 2 oz protein, 1/2 cup carb (potato or rice)
dinner = 2-3 oz protein, 1/2 cup carb, 1-2 cups green veggies
pm snack = 1-2 oz protein, 1/2 cup fruit.
this diet has no dairy, cheese, butter, oil. but it is stil fairly satisfying because you are eating all the time.
besides the lack of calcium from dairy, the green veggies giveyou plenty of calcium. The times when you eat fruit instead of veggies you may feel hungry sooner. It is ok to eat every 2.5 hours if you get to feeling hungry. also, limit your salt intake.

i did the atkins...and you will lose ALOT if you do it right. only downfall is that once you get off you will most likely gain back more then you were before. i personally would take parts of the atkins and combine it with other foods and create a healthy lifestyle. i loved it at first because i was eating all the bacon, meat, cheese i wanted but after awhile you miss other foods. good luck in what you choose!

this relies upon on your modern-day situation. Your BMI index, top, age, average well being.... There are some distance too many element's to establish how lots you will loose. i want to propose appearing slightly learn on the atkins weight-alleviation plan, recent learn's have got here across it to be heavily risky. you should to attempt issues such with the aid of fact the South sea coast weight-alleviation plan. (It worked for me.)

I don't think it will matter, because you'll gain it all back as soon as you eat carbohydrates.
