LONG STORY BUT A GOOD ONE !! K so almost two years ago I met this guy, we talked on the phone for a bit but we couldnt do anything because I was only 16, now im 17 he is 21 and we ran into each other and started talkng a lot actually. I went over his house to see a friend and his dad ( very interesting guy) said "Hey adrian, why u so shy u were talking all about her last night?!?" lol so the next hour or too he asked me out, I said yes.

The next day we were really into each other and went to the park, we kissed and talked, and kissed and kissed and talked. He even walked w/ me to the bus stop so i wouldnt have to go alone. Two days later we had a first date (he payed for everything) starbucks and fuel pizza lol my favorites... we were on the bus holding hands and kissing of course lol. I bought him a little candy corn bag. His mom likes me. I told my mom and showed him a pic... Its just how can i break the news he is 21, maybe say 19?

I realy like this guy, A lot

17 and 21 isn't that big of a difference. 4 years?
I wouldn't know this one as I'm a year older than my boyfriend but I'm still totally in love. Obviously you want your mom to like him, but at the end of the day its you who has to be with him not her so just keep that in mind. Its not against the law now your 17 so there's nothing they can do about it. If you like him, then you like him, you cant help who you like can you? Just tell her the truth because there's no point in lying, shes gonna find out eventually. Just tell her the truth and if she doesn't like it then tough, like it or lump it! Good luck.

I dated a guy when I was 17 and he was 27. My mom eventually ran him off. But I really loved him, and 30 years later I still "carry a little torch" for him. If he's nice and respectful toward you and you like him, I say, what the hey? Tell your mom the truth because she WILL find out. Maybe if she meets him in person she will feel better about him. She may or may not come at you with both barrels though, so be prepared.

21 and a 17 year old. That's not even that much to be honest, but yeah I know how you feel. I'm 10 months older then my girlfriend and people consider that taboo.

Just say he's JUST become 21. :\.

There's no point in lying she'd catch on eventually.

The best advice is to be honest. At seventeen, concealing his true age could turn out to be his undoing. If you are both honest about it from the start, why would your parents have a reason to distrust him? Have them meet him, let them ask.

i don't think that age matters if you are responsible. just tell that to your mom, but first have her meet him and show her how nice and mature he is.
