My point is this mother was obviously to me smothering her child. And after receiving emails from this website I can rarely expect anything my ears want too hear.

If that was the whole question than your response was inappropriate.

edit: how was it POSSIBLY obvious that she was "smothering her child"? Seriosuly, did you leave out a part of the question of are you just a moron?

It does not come across as a serious answer. I see a lot of silly questions here but there are people who are troubled and wanting serious answers. Yes a lot of the time I could go and do a seach for information but sometimes I need a human answer, I need information from a person that has similar experiences or thoughts and that doesn't come from doing a Yahoo search. Even if you did not mean it has a flippant response that is how it came across.

You didn't tell her she was shaming her child (which, if you posted her question in completion, she wasn't). You insulted her deliberately and attacked her at her most delicate: her skills as a mother.

Do you get your kicks out of hurting other people's feelings? There's a name for people like you: bully. Except that I assume you're a grown up. You should have passed this phase in your life long ago.

If you seriously can't see what's wrong with your answer to the asker's question, please seek professional help. I don't want to think of someone with an anger issue such as yours behind the wheel of a car or owning a gun. You could be a danger to society.

Did she say she abused the child in anyway? If she did, then I'd applaud you. If she just asked that question, you should get a life and look at yourself before critisizing others.

Your answer was inappropriate because you were having a personal attack on someone, rather then actually trying to answer the question at hand.

I think you were unfair...some children may be afraid of the dark...night terror...I dont think you understand parenting very well if youre criticizing someone just because they are trying to help their child

I do not believe it was wrong if that was what you thought, but it definitely is not right.
