Ever since hearing this trick i haven't looked back. It works for lettuce leaves and that sort of stuff as well...

Get a plastic tupperware- measure out the paper towel so it covers the inside with big flaps overhanging the edges. Sprinkle water on it (and if their tough - wring out the water) so you have a damp but NOT wet paper towel. Line the tupperware with it with the edges overhanging and put the herbs in. Fold in the sides to cover and seal with the lid. Best method I've found so far.

Rosemary is great fresh but also dry- you can tie a piece of string around the branches and hang it somewhere near a draft- it will come out tasting the same.

Stick them in a heavy cup of water, and set that in the fridge... kind of like flowers. Change water every couple days.

I keep mine in a glass of water in the windowsill- you do need to change the water daily, but they keep for a long time.

rinse well under cold water, dry and wrap in paper towels. Keep in refrigerator. No plastic bags or aluminum foil. they must be dry and breathing.
