Ok there is this girl that I talk to alot in my calculus class. I am black and she is white. She is foriegn( Norway), she has blonde hair with blue eyes, and she is really pretty. We met about a month ago in class. The first day of class she introduced herself and started talking to me. We have been talking to each other frequently ever since, its so weird to actually talk to someone so different from you. I never thaught I meet someone like her. My black friends are asking me why I am with her so much, and why I talk to her. I ended up taking her out on a date to a resturant last week and we got all sorts of nasty looks. She is always there for me, when I was sick and bedridden she called me alot even bought me some mecidine and stayed with me. I love the feeling of being around her. But I received a hand written note from her yesterday saying how she is in love with me and how special I am to her. But people hate our relationship, help!

Wow, that sucks! I don't know where you live, but that shouldn't be an issue. Let me assure you that it is not that way everywhere. I would not pay any attention to small minded people that have a problem with that. If you two make each other happy that is all that matters. I think it's great that you found such a wonderful girl. It's too bad that we live in a society where people will judge and hate others for their skin color. In Norway, people are more open to the idea of dating someone "outside" of their race but I don't think the US will ever get around to that.
Be happy and be good to her. Life is hard enough and it is a fortunate thing when we find someone to love whether they are black, white or purple.
Remember, if you try to live your life for everyone else, you will never have a life of your own. Enjoy! :)

Sadly we have not reached a point yet where your type of relationship is commonplace or accepted everywhere. Some might say save yourself the trouble but really if you have found someone you are happy with then screw everybody else and go with what is best for you... and apparently her as well. Others will come around and if they don't you don't need them in your life. I had the same experience myself whenever I tried to date black girls (for white guys that is really unacceptable where I come from.) it all passes though...

Oh gosh sweetie, don't let other people make your decisions. If you really love this girl, then go with your heart. You can never go wrong in following you heart, but if you go with what your friends are saying, or how strangers look at you, you could be missing out on true love! Love doesn't happen very often, so when it does, grab it and don't let go! You both sound very passionate with each other. I've never dated a white chick but if she is what you want I say go for it and don't worry what anyone else says. I'm a black guy whose into black chicks mostly, and a little mexican spice on the side :-) so I don't know what it's like going through what you're going through.

love has no rules, inter-racial dating is becoming more and more common. if their really your friends theyll accept that. they may need some time to adjust but they shouldnt be questioning you like that. i think that within the first week of you and this girl hanging out your true freinds should have adjusted and gotten used to it. if their stopping you from happyness, then theyre not your true freinds. good luck.
PS: if she was with u when u were sick and cared for u then she really does love you and i think that you should go out with her.

She is from Norway and she is not used to the social "stigmatism" that inter racial relationships have here. It doesn't bother her about your skin color, question is does it bother you?
If it does then dont date her, if it doesn't then date her but be prepared, society, both blacks and white still have strong feelings about mixed relationship. Sounds like your friends are a little racist....
