Baked is done in the oven at a tempature setting that produces the heat from below the bird.
Roasting is done at higher temp, that produces the heat source from all sides (top and bottom) allowing the skin to be browned and made crispier.
My understanding of the 2 sides of foil, are the shiny side reflects the heat away from product, providing even cooking, if shiny side is in facing food, radiates more heat towards product.

Roasting is done at a higher temp, uncovered.

Baked is oven covered, lower temp.
