Teeth don't 'grow back'.... you lose your baby teeth to make room for the adult teeth that are close behind. Since the adult teeth are larger than the baby teeth, sometimes you need to wait for more than one to come out to make room.

Since it's been 8 months, you're overdue for a six-month checkup at your dentist's office... when you finally go, xrays can be taken to see where the adult tooth is.

That should ease your mind once you hear and see what's going on............

Best of luck to you! This really isn't anything alarming...and you'll be fine!

:)

You may be like me and have an adult tooth for that particular one. I'm missing a few adult teeth, actually, because the baby teeth got shoved out as my other teeth adjusted for the missing adult teeth, and I still have some of my baby teeth because there's no adult teeth to grow in place. As another person said, though, it also may take a while to grow back.

Maybe because part of the roots of your tooth are still stuck there.
Go to your local dentist and ask about it.
They may remove the roots, usually without any pain.
