It would not have been proper in the culture of that time for women to travel around with men to whom they weren't married--for one thing, travel was incredibly dangerous, and another, Jesus got into enough trouble just for talking (!) to women. But if you want women disciples--Mary Magadalene, Mary of Bethany, Martha of Bethany, Joanna are just a few mentioned.

Kaldea, if thats the case, that you dont believe anything unless it was written EXACTALLY when it happened - than how do you believe anything in history???

Anyway, to answer the question in my POV - its because of two things - One, Jesus was to be above reproach. You just know that if that happened that people would be going around saying that he slept with women, etc. Also, he had enough from satan to deal with, all he needed was another temptation. And secondly, because women were not charged with the same kinds of duties and responsibilities as men. It is NOT because women are less important, it is because we are just different. The way I see it is when a couple has a baby. The men cant give birth or breast feed, and most of the time the child raising is done by the mother because she has a more maternal intuition - does that mean that the father is a lesser parent? No of course not, just different people have different roles.

There were many women in Jesus ministry. The disciples were men since men were what was accepted as the learned people of the day. But Mary and Martha were taught at the feet of Jesus. That was a totally unacceptable practice back then. There were women everywhere in the gospels.
Jesus sent Mary first from the tomb, to tell of his Resurrection. The first person to spread the Good News of Jesus.

I suppose it was because it wasn't really appropriate to go traipsing around the countryside with unmarried women in those days. That is one of the criticisms the pharisees had about Jesus associating with inappropriate people. It didn't do the woman's reputation much good, either, but Mary Magdalene and some others must have thought it worth the condemnation. The idea that women were educated in religion and the prophets was unheard of, although it was widely accepted that they could prophesy. The role of women in the early church is foggy, there were women who helped support the apostles financially, and established some of the churches in some of the towns. St. Paul mentions them in his letters.

Peter hated women
and Paul was a Liar

Judas was replaced by Matthias according to Acts 1:26
not Paul.
Paul wrote 13 books of the new testaments 27 books
He wrote half of the New Testament.
Seems a little odd.

If a person looks a little further than the Bible they find there was at least one, possibly more.
The early church cut them out of the Bible that you all follow today.
Women, in their opinion should have no place in religion as most of the early pagan religions worshipped the sacred feminine as well as her male counterpart.

We weren't there so how do we know he really didn't? We only have the testimony of a male dominated church which was formed 200 years after his death! I would say that idea is faulty to the max!

I don't think that it was common for women to be in positions of authority back then. That's probably why.

Because women are not to preach to men, like women are not supposed to be pastors. Men and women are EQUAL though, they just have different distinct roles that they are supposed to fulfill.
