It's got peas and celery in it and there is lettuce and cheese and it's mixed in a sauce that is like sour cream or mayonaise or something, not sure on that...and it's kept in the fridge. Any idea? I can't remember...

I don't think it's 7 layer salad, cause I looked at pictures and it's well, layered lol. I suppose it could be and it's just gotten a bit mixed up by the time I've had it. But pea salad and 7 layer salad both sound delish! Thanks guys ^_^

It's a simple pea salad or sometimes also known as a "refrigerated pea salad"

There are many variations (using mayo, sour cream, yogurt, ranch dressing, blue cheese or a combo) and different names.
I've seen it in salad bars in buffets.
Also, it's one of those dishes that appears on the holiday table at Thanksgiving and Christmas (in the USA).

Example recipe:

allrecipes.com has about 20 variations of pea salad:

Enjoy! :-)

7 layer salad. You can use any mix of veggies you like.

We make it all family get together, you really don't need a recipe as really anything goes. But I take a nice deep 9x13 or larger dish and layer:

Lettuce torn into small pieces
Diced up celery
Diced up red onion
Diced up green pepper
Diced up Roma tomatoes
On top of those layers add a layer of frozen peas.
Take 2 cups of mayonnaise (use name brand, no generic) and mix with sugar, I use about 1/4 of a cup but we don't like ours too sweet, taste it, you can certainly use more.
"Frost" the mayo/sugar mix over the peas,
Top that with shredded cheddar cheese and sprinkle Bacon Bits on top
Cover and let sit in fridge, it is best to let sit overnight. The mayo dressing works with the frozen peas and gets down into the layers.
(you can also fry up bacon, drain and crumble instead of the Bits, I just find the bits easier.)

This looks fantastic in a clear dish.

ADDITIONAL
You didn't say it had pasta in it is why I went with the seven layer.
