The military is in need of help, so why can't you just sign up? Instead of having to have this and that, and that and this?? I mean, if they are in need, why the obsticle course and requirements?
Just a question my friend asked and I thought I would see some opinions. :)

Because there are standards in place to keep you and the soldiers around you safe. You can't join if you have certain medical conditions because you could be a danger to yourself and those around you in the field. You can't join with bad credit and excessive debt because you would be more likely to take a bribe. You have to be physically fit so you can defend and fight or flee if neccessary.

By this and that I would guess you are talking about things like a HS diploma, or certain physical requirements.
Unlike the statement made by Senator Kerry the military today is more technically advanced than most people could even dream of.
The last Platoon That I had as a Platoon Sergeant operated a cellular phone network that could cover an area half the size of Ohio.

We have to be sure that everyone that joins will not be put into harms way rather it be for the individual or as a team.

cause shitty soldiers would give us a bad name and the death toll would shoot up for poorly trained soldiers. High death toll would lead to unrest at home. its vital to have good soldiers. remember this is a quality not quantity thing. Notice Seals are like teams of 4 and are extremely deadly. They could do more than a bunch of poorly trained things. Just to let ya know
