Andros from Power Rangers in Space. He was forced to do things alone after his original team was destroyed, lost his sister to evil & for awhile didn't even know he was fighting her, spent years trying to figure out how to save Zhane's life. You can see why he was reluctant to let the other Rangers come join him. He was just in a lot of pain that he needed to get through, and came back strong to lead a new team, became the first Red Ranger with a powered up battilizer mode, saved Zhane and Astronema/Karone. And he was really cute too ;)

The best Red Ranger of all season would have to be Shane from Ninja Storm, even though when he first started out, he wanted to do it by himself, but with one situation, he learned there is no "I" in team. Then when he got the Red Battlizer frim Skyla, that turned things around for him. Now he's a teacher at the Wind Ninja Accademy along with two of his teammates. He's my best Red Ranger ever.
