I believe that destroying innocent human life is wrong.
An unborn baby is alive (growing, moving, taking in nutrition, etc.). Are you going to say this life is non-human?
Everything in this world is either human or non-human. All humans deserve rights, which include the right to life. The U.S. Declaration of Independence declares this as an “unalienable” right.
If a human fetus is not human life, then what kind of life is it? It is a dangerous precedent to determine that certain human life is not human enough to deserve our protection!
What is next? Can we kill the mentally ill? Can we kill the elderly? If we can kill children in the first trimester, then why not those in the second or the third? (There already have been many third trimester “abortions”!) Why stop there? What’s the difference in killing a pre-born child and killing a new-born child? Are any of these any less human than the others? What gives you, or anyone else the right to choose what is and is not human enough to deserve to live?
I believe all humans, no matter how small, deserve the right to life! The small need our protection the most!
Some say that it is a religious teaching to say that life begins at conception. I ask, if not there, where does it begin? Why is one opinion any less of a religious view than mine?
The question is not if we are going to adopt an opinion, but which opinion. It is not an opinion that it is a human fetus. It is not an opinion that it is alive before the abortion kills it. It is not an opinion, therefore, that this is human life. It is not an opinion that abortion, therefore, ends human life.
The only opinion is whether this human life has enough value to be allowed to live and whether we have the right to end that human life!
God hates “hands that shed innocent blood”! (Proverbs 6:16-17)

Emotions. Imagine finding out that you are having a baby you don't want or that you might have to take responsibilty for some actions of when you got caught up in the moment. On top of this, emotions can be mixed up by hormone imbalances during pregnancy. When you legislate laws on abortion it is hard to come up with ways to deal with this. Emotions are not a fault as they are natural, but they are something that makes it hard to deal with this issue.
Another controversial thing is that fact that if the woman decides to do the right thing and have the baby and either keep it or give them up for adoption, the man doesn't have to deal with it at all if he doesn't want to. This seems unfair to a lot of women, and even though I will admit that it is unfair, I don't think that argument trumps the morality issue of a human being.
Aside from religion, general human nature which seems to oppose causes people to be against abortion.

Our nation has seen the unborn child as human since its inception until the Roe v Wade case.
Many people consider the unborn child a human being.
It has DNA, bodily organs and a brain which are human.
Some people feel the unborn baby isn't human till it is born. Others till it's viable, others go by trimesters. Either way, they think its OK for the mom to have the baby killed at some point in time before it is born.
So, there are many sides to the issue.

I think religion is the **main** one.
Many religions see life beginning at conception. That means that abortion is killing a human being.
Other issues that come to mind are
--Giving abortion to underage kids (this means that there may have been statutorial rape and they didn't report it)
--Giving abortions without parental approval and/or deliberately doing things to go around parents. (ie, giving code words to the kids so they know it is the abortion clinic calling and their parents won't)
--Lack of health care issues on site - some have died or had very bad medical reactions to the abortions

Choosing to kill a innocent baby because it is a inconvience to the mother, or family. Physical disabilities are another reason people abort. I wish people would love what is given to them because no matter how you look at life and what is given to you-there's always a gift hidden behind it all!

I can't put my finger on an actual reason because I'm even atheist. I just know the thought of it makes me want to puke followed by putting the mother in a psych-ward for killing her child.
