it is coated in an undigestable layer ,so how u take it how it comes out with stool ,reagrding possible damage it can cause ,rarely they get lodged in the appendix and cause appendicitis due to obstruction of narrow lumen ,

As kids, we devoured all of the oranges we could get our hands on. Some of the best varieties are seedy, and you get tired of spitting them out after a while. I have swallowed many with no effects at all. As kids, there was a joke about an orange tree growing out of your ears if you swallow the seeds :) .

omg rush straight to casulty fast your not ment to swallow pips especcially oranges you'll get orancititas where your stomach swells and produces gas and eventually you'll turd a mighty big tree

The amino acids in your stomache will dissolve the pip and turn it into proteins...the rest of the pip will be eliminated....don't worry a tree won't grow under those conditions. a good diet consists of nuts and seeds...think about it....makes sense to me.

If you die soon a tree will grow out of you, otherwise no unless it gets stuck in your appendicts, there it will go rotten and cause you some health problems.

Nup. My mom used to tell me that it would grow into a tree in my stomach, fortunately that never happened. I don't think it would harm you, it's from a natural plant after all.

my gran always used to say when you swallow an apple pip an apple tree will grow inside you. there are no apple trees growing inside me.

ignore casper, no it will get to your stomach and the acid will get it. don't worry. the worst that happens is the momentary discomfort osf swallowing it and the worry itt caused you.
