While the above answer "tambour" (masc., sing.) is correct for a single drum, you might perhaps be looking for the term for a "drum-kit", which is "batterie" (fem., sing.).

Noah m is right. If you are talking of the drums in a band, it will be " la batterie" and the drummer is "le batteur".
