seems there are lots of important bits of the story missing in the bible. I mean, it would be perfectly normal (in fact preferable) for Jesus to have had a lover - he may have been the son of God but he was living in a humble human body. Why shouldn't he have been in love with Mary Magdalene? Is it really a cover up?

Sure, it was SO secret, that it took utter speculation for fiction writers to concoct a cover-up conspiracy theory so they could sell their books.

Yes apparently Mary Magdalene was of royal blood, and in fact the wedding at Cana was actually the marriage between Jesus and Mary Magdalene. The so-called "miracle" of turning water into wine was just Jesus commanding his servants to serve more wine on his very own wedding day! That is the reason why Sangreal or the the holy grail is nothing more than a corruption of the Sangre Real or royal blood - as in the descendants of Jesus were of royal blood descended from the house of David.

The DaVinic Code concept! muhaha! in all probability to no longer Mary Magdalene. i do no longer rather have self assurance she became a prostitute however. i think of she became in all probability merely somebody undesirable and misguided. whether the potential for Jesus Christ having married a woman is fantastically probably once you think of roughly it. He became Jewish. Jews, in those time, thrived on getting married and having families. stay and prosper and yadda yadda yadda. i'm a Christian yet i'm no longer a fanatic or something so i will say that and not think of i visit hell :P

First of all, according to the bible, jesus's mom mary was married to joseph. No way was she a virgin. She would have had sex on her wedding night with her husband. No way around it christians, it's just implausible that she was still a virgin. Of course I'm prefacing this on the notion that these people ever existed at all, which I highly, highly doubt. This is a hypothetical question based on a hypothetical concept. I think that if Jesus did in fact exist that he probably screwed like the rest of us. It's human nature, it's the remainder of our animal instinct to want to have sex. Oh, but wait, christians dont buy into the fact that we are in fact nothing but animals....hmm. See? It's a battle you can't win, even if you had proof that that had happened you still wouldnt get these people to change their minds....It's like banging your head against a brick wall.

Nothing secret about it. Clearly, Jesus considered MM a better disciple than the guys. Who met him first out of the grave? Why were the guys jealous of her? Who was REALLY the Disciple that Jesus loved?
Remember a man couldn't be a rabbi unless he WAS married. And they DID call Jesus 'rabbi'.

I personally think they were married!

at 33 a jewish man not married is well not heard of!

If you state that he couldn't have been married then I want proof and not the bible its not even second hand information.

The only reasonable explanations Ive heard are the more recent ones - and some of the new found translations from the dead sea scrolls.

It's actually a scary thought

If he had a "Lover" then he'd be in violation of the Old Testament Law and would not be the "Sinless" Son of God
And when He asked the Scribes Pharisees and Saducees

"Which one of you convicts me of sin? And If I tell the truth, why, do you not believe me?"

would they not have brought it then up?

and if he's not the "Sinless Son of God"
then he can save no one, that's what's scary about it.

cheers

He was human and she was a lady of the night......................
She most definitly didn`t return with him to Kashmir after the failed attempt to cruxify him.
He is in the chronicles of the kings but there is no mention of her at all..
Some theories say that she was pregnant and went to southen France, but that has no documentary surport..

You hit on a key note, for Jesus to have married Mary would not have been a sin, so ......... why leave it out? Don't you think it would have been significant enough to be mentioned? WHAT is gained by leaving it out? NOTHING!!!!! Think realistically, JESUS WAS NOT married, nor did he have a lover, as that would have been sinful, Jesus was WITHOUT SIN!

JESUS had ONE mission while on earth, he accomplished it and defeated death.
There would have been NO point to leaving it out if he had married, so all these lies are just that, LIES.

Most certainly NOT ! Every good Christian knows as a fact that Jesus and his mother Mary were virgins.

Tisk tisk.
