which 1 should i get?

should i get the epson-3000 or the nikon d40 to take pictures...and i know u all might say take the epson-3000 cause it plays music and has video..iam not looking for all of that iam jus looking for 1 that has good quality pictures to take....basically..which 1 is better for taking pictures...ONLY PICTURES...the epson-3000 or the nikon d40?
