I'm a 22 year old wheelchair bound physically disabled guy who has never had any luck with ladies of my age group because they all turn away from me. Well, recently I went to one of my favorite hangouts with the family, the local live horse-race tracks/casino, (Grand River Raceway in Elora, Ontario, Canada) & met this really cool older lady who works there as the cleaner. We got to talking whenever she was nearby & she gave me her email address. Since then, me & her have exchanged pleasentries & gotten to know eachother. Recently, I found out she was widowed, (Her jerk of a hubby passed away of a heart attack in '95) & also found out that she'd been checking me out. Since then, I've sort of developed feelings for her, even though I know it's wrong. So, theres my story. What do you all think? Is it wrong or am I doing the right thing considering again that none of my aged girls would ever give me the time of day? Let me know. Your responses are greatly appreciated. Thanks. Dan.

I think you are full of it.. I do not know of any 22 year old males, disabled or not that would want to have a relationship ( other than friendship) with a woman who is 61 years old. and if you really wanted to date a girl in your age group, then you could....disabled or not. I recently watched an 18 year old male on the discovery channel who was suffering from some dibilitating disease, and had a date for the prom. so if he can get a date, then so can you.

I think that 61 is a little too old. My dad is also in a wheelchair and he will never be able to walk again. I think that 22 is pretty young. so you should wait a while! I mean don't give up on love.
good Luck with everything!

Listen to your gut feeling. You said it yourself, you know it's wrong. It is better to stay with someone in your own generation. Say that you do stay with her..... and she passes when you're only 40..... you'll be back in square 1, agreed?

AND...... let me make mention that there is something very wrong in the psyche of a 61 year old person who is "checking out" a 22 year old. Are you sure this is what she's saying?

I personally think Friendship would be the right approach. Stick with being Friends and leave the serious relationships for someone your own age. You're still pretty young so I think you will be able to find someone eventually.

There's a big difference in a age.It might work out but since she's old,she might pass away soon and you'll be lonely again and by then your chances of getting a girl would be lowered.

Love isn't defined by age. However, don't get your hopes up too high; you don't know for sure if she is returning the feelings. I wish you all the best of luck though. =]
