1. It is at 11am. Is that 11am local time for overseas, or 11am absolute time. i.e. in Iraq did they have the 2 minute silence at 11am local time, or 3pm local time (or whatever it is).

2. Who went in person to a remembrance parade today? I went, for the first time in 20 years.
Nothing's changed lol!

OK only 2 questions then. Here is the tomb of the unknown queston.

The unknown question even.

I've remembered the third question: There seemed to be two two-minute silences. Are there two?

Commander: I did show respect to the veterans. I attended the parade. Isn't that enough?

The reason I said LOL was contrasting the unchanging nature of these parades to everything else in life.

11 am local time.

As for "nothing has changed" and you laughing....shame on you ! These people put thier butts on the line to defend, fight for, and do thier duty to keep you free !

At least show some respect and gratitude...a simple ":thank you " to a vet should be your response...not "LOL" !

1) 11.00 local time where ever you are.

2) No. I am at work on a gas platform in the middle of the North Sea. We still observed the 2 minute silence though.

As for nothing changing for over 20 years - the number of older veterans go down and the number of younger ones goes up. Now there are veterans who are half my age.

Not sure I fully understand all of this but..... asfar as I know the 2 minute silence is observed at 11am in whatever time zone you happen to be in.. So Iraq personell would observe the silence before us here in the UK... No I did not attend a service today,, I have done so in the past... Not sure if there is another question there or not.....

I believe the tomb of the unknown soldier in UK is in Westminster Abbey. In France I think there is one in Paris at the Arc de Triumph, but, there are many at military cemeteries all over the world. Not tombs but graves of unknown soldiers at cemeteries is what I mean.
