98 Toyota van,at 39K miles, the oil change showed a little to much oil in the crank case. I noticed the hose between the valve cover and the air intake snorkle was leaking oil and it puffed white smoke in the morning.

This is A Toyota 3.0 Litter engine 1998 which is prone to sludge problem and who know what else, almost failed smog, High NOX.
Need advice on whether to keep or dump it,valve job is near 3K,miles on it are 154K.
Thanks

at 39k you certainly would not need a valve job. I don't understand too much oil in crankcase unless someone over filled it. The only way to check for valve problems is a compression check. These symptoms sound like pressure in the crankase forcing oil into valve cover and to air cleaner. Hard to say without hands on.
