I would think any god with a sliver of benevolence could not create people with the ability to think critically and rationally, and then punish them for doing so.
Besides, if all he wants are the sycophantic people who are currently on the God bandwagon, he'll be well satisfied.

This is a great question!
I believe that skepticism must be a vital part of any Christian's (I am one) life. Jesus himself even warned against being deceived.
That is about the best I can do now. I will have to think about this some more. Good job.

As a infant of a "loopy-Christian" (born lower back elementary evangelical Protestant) mom, i will say that I rather have been calculatedly estranging myself from her. God could have her in the afterlife, yet i could like my mom lower back mutually as she's nevertheless in the international please. i'm an atheist now because of the fact I reacted so badly to her controlling and manipulation below the guise of "it is what God needs" as a infant. i've got now found out that she's the nutjob, no longer faith, yet i'm nevertheless allergic to it. We nevertheless get alongside while neither human beings mentions warm-button themes and are jointly in a impartial, public area. do no longer enable it get that undesirable for you. short answer: you may desire to compromise. Bible says God comes first, young babies come after, yet God additionally says shield your babies. what proportion cases does the Bible propose mediation and compromise? examine those passages, get an impartial mediator (might I recommend a non-Christian expert? Makes it extra honest - i've got chanced on that Christian mediators are extra probably to become responsive to with and as a result area with Christian mothers and dads) and paintings stuff out. be sure what's rather important, set some authentic looking obstacles, and enable your babies rather talk their minds.

Excellent question, I suppose we could argue that just about anything and anyone who wants to answer that will find you cannot, because its still only a beleif and not a fact. We can never answer the question of God because we cant, most of us only beleive we can and that is the true atheist vs religion question isnt it?????

Faith is only blind until you show works. Once you put forth the works, you can see the fruit of the seed (faith).

skepticism does not glorify god. It's OK, it just doesn't glorify god.
