You know the answer. An atheist is a human being that does not believe in any god, God, or GOD. If you are an atheist, you would not thank God for anything. I think you are being mean minded to those human beings who do believe in God.

If you are an atheist, you do not believe in God, so how can you thank him? And God did not make you an atheist, that was your own choice.

You can thank god because the true definition of God is everything. Its the air its the Space the Limitless stars all of those things are what God is. Organized religion gave God his human Characteristics, and is in fact not what God is, So thank heavens that your are an athiest. But does that mean there are no aliens? think about it!

You are freely expressing and experimenting with your own ideas. . . Perhaps you are independent, not only physically, but psychologically and socially from the ties of religious tradition. . . under your circumstances why do you question the responsibilities of uttering any expression of gratitude !? Perhaps your senses are not at peace !? Perhaps your mind is not free from restlessness !?

Illogical question! If you sense there is God, you don't believe there is no God=atheist.
Atheists miss out, in my view, as they feel no loving God looking after them, loving them & helping them throughout their lives, & answering their prayers.

We are what we choose to be, and then we are things we don't choose to be. I guess you can give God credit for both like Christians do. So in the end your theory would be correct.

What would be the point? If God truly doesn't exist, wouldn't you just be talking to yourself?
