just wondering how many people have had their dogs whelp during day light hours? We have only ever had night time deliveries and I only know one other breeder that has had a late afternoon birth. Just wondering what the percentage of daytime births is . THanks

My girl started giving birth at about 4pm.

Lots of dogs will start to give birth during the day. It's mostly about when the house is quiet and she feels comfortable enough.

About 10% of the time, mine will whelp during the day.

It does seem like most are in the middle of the night but I have had a couple to go in the afternoon

I used to have a Bull Terrier and she gave birth around 2 pm.

Over the past 34 years, about 75% of my b****'s have delivered during the day. Just lucky, I guess!
