That's so subjective it's insane to your answer your question.

It is the equivelant of asking "What is the best food?" You can give your favorite type of food, and perhaps your favorite meal from your favorite type, but that's far from being what you would call the best. You may hate it.

So, what is my favorite beer style? I don't even have one. I don't even have a preference for vague style, such as light or dark. I drink the dark Stouts and Porters just as often as the Pale Ales, and IPAs. I take the hoppiness with the malty, thicker texture of the dark beers. Octoberfests, Lagers, Ales, Bocks, I like them all.

I can tell you what I don't like. Beverages that are labeled Beer yet contain less than 100% malted barley. I'm looking at you, Bud, Miller, Coors, Corona.

Believe it or not, beer is like wine, it should be chosen to compliment the situation. If you are having it at dinner, choose one that will go well with that meal.

I personally like very dark stouts, Guiness Stout especially. It seems to be more enjoyable to have one good tankard rather than to have to drink 5 or 6 glasses of the clear light stuff...

It depends on your personal taste. I won't drink domestic unless it's microbrew (snob here!) but I also am not a huge stout drinker (to the girl before me, corona isn't even remotely near a stout), but I do like some porters. I prefer Irish reds and wheat beers the most because I don't like hoppy beers. My favorite wide distribution beer is Killian's. My favorite microbrews are Leinenkugels and Sprecher. I love going to microbreweries and ordering their sampler and trying everything the best!

I tend to prefer Guinness or Boddington's myself. Fat Tire isn't bad either.
