... then doesn't it follow that each and every one of us is "saved" right before we die and is destined to spend eternity with our Lord Jesus? Isn't this logical?

In which case, you might as well stop evangelizing in this life because it can't possibly make any difference. We're saved anyway.

What you say is in fact true. Death is the ultimate price for sin. Once you die, you are clean. You've paid up. The Bible talks about ressurection of the righteous AND the unrighteous. However, those who have died due to God's judgement (Sodom and Gommorah, Flood etc) are said Not to have that hope of ressurection. The Bible continually warns us to keep God's commandments, lest we die during His judgement. All this crap about going to heaven and such is just misinterpretation of Jesus's teachings. I never read about him ressurectin people in heaven, only back on earth. Kisses my Bad Liberal!

to say there are no atheists in foxholes is nonsense, we all have different beliefs, and even at the point of death I won't be reaching out to a middle eastern god, I don't need to, I am happy with my own beliefs.

i think it rather is an exaggeration of the fact. and that i doubt you have ever been in a fox hollow or a loss of existence mattress. I rather have regular extra advantageous adult men than what you assert your are that could desire to no longer swim against a 5 mph cuurent with an undertow. The have been the two SEALS and swam the sea- however the river have been given them the two.

Not so, an Atheist will be opened up to the spirit world, but they will be incapable of sincerely repenting. Because we know as soon as they get well, they will turn their back on God again. Check out the last words of dying Atheist, and it will be clear.

It makes perfectly logical sense and I agree with that, except for one thing. The bible says that faith without works is dead. So if they are violating GOD'S laws, they are just as bad a sinner as Satan. They call them 'backsliders'. Those that do it for money I call : Satan's children. And if they die in sin, the bible says they STILL go to hell.

That's the best doctrine of universal salvation I've ever heard.

This should really get the "You really believe" and the "You're going to burn" camps fighting.

Nice idea, if it always worked.

You could be killed in an instant tonight, tomorrow or the next day. You may not have that instant for your last second repent. So ask yourself and your heart what you really believe now, in this instant.

a believer would not be in a foxhole in the first place: a believer would be ready to accept what his god willed for him.

you wouldn't be in a foxhole unless you were an atheist.
