There is no queen of heaven ,no scriptural basis whatsoever . This is pure catholic dogma , the early catholic church transposed an ancient egyptian goddess (Mithris) for mary , desiring to keep this goddess worship alive ,but making it appear christian . A GREAT DECEPTION !

Mary is highly respected like all saints in heaven but not worshipped.
You are more or less correct on this one. There is little biblical evidence that Mary is "Queen of Heaven." This is used as a title of respect and started in a society filled with royalty.
Mary is the mother of Jesus Christ, who is God the Son, and therefore can be addressed as the Mother of God.
This is similar to a commoner who marries a king and becomes the mother of the next king. She is entitled to the title Queen and Mother of the King even though she is not royalty.
Nobody two hundred, five hundred or a thousand years ago would have been confused about these terms. But this is hard for people to understand in these times where royalty and kings and queens are few and far between.
And I did not even mention the miracle that Mary's body was taken to heaven after her death.
With love in Christ.

In Jeremiah 7:18, God is indeed upset with the Israelites for worshipping a false goddess called the "queen of heaven". However, just because God rebuked them for worshipping the false queen of heaven, doesn't mean that we cannot pay honor to the true Queen of Heaven...the Blessed Mother.
And there is a true Queen of Heaven, we see this quite clearly in Revelation 12:1, "And a great portent appeared in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars..." Let's see. There's a woman...she's in Heaven...and she has a crown on her head. I could be wrong, but I don't think it's the maid! No! It is the true Queen of Heaven, Mary, the mother of the male child who is to rule the nations.
We do not worship Mary, we honor her, just as Jesus honors her. So, there is absolutely nothing wrong, from a scriptural point of view, in calling Mary the Queen of Heaven, and in honoring her just as Jesus honors her.

Pastor Billy says: you start off your question very abrasively and agressively with "I would like SOUND Biblical Teaching"
could you first show me in the bible where it is written show me in the bible?
You realize you are arguing against a title that only helps affirm Jesus is King and not just any King but King of kings.
Your example of Jer7:44 neglects the obvious all Kings have Queen mothers. Lets put this in perpective shall we, is Jesus King of kings or isn't he?
What you have to prove is not only that Mary is given Godly worship with usage of this title but that the teaching authority of the communities which give her the title Queen of Heaven also instruct she should be given Godly worship. So when are you going to get started??? I'll be back for that question too ;)
sidenote: Trinity is of Roman Catholic Church origin and it doesn't explain Mary to be God or a god you will obviously have your work cut out for you. I would like SOUND Catholic documention Teaching on this!
addendum: Bryan merely asking for New Testament proof makes you concerned with Roman Catholic traditions.
I suggest instead of just throwing bible verse around out of context you actually spend time studying how the Christian bible was compiled, by whom and when. you will be surprised.

I call Mary my spiritual mother. I know her as the Queen of Heaven. She holds a special place as the mother of my Lord. I am a divorced (and since remarried) Catholic, so I no longer take the Sacrament, but I will aways think of Mary as having accended into Heaven, body and soul. I believe she was a pure vessel, born without sin, since she had a special job to do as the Mother of God. I also believe that she remained a virgin throughout her life - Joseph remained her husband, providing from her and protecting her, but they didn't have "that" kind of relationship. That's just my theory

The old evil queen of heaven had many names and at the time of Jeremiah it was Baal's wife Ashtoreth. She has been called Venus, Diana, Ishtar, Astarte, Isis, Semiramis, Aphrodite, Atargatis, Eostre, Ostera, Eastre, Cybele, Ceres, Fortuna, Shingmoo, Disa, Nutri, Virgo-Paritura, Isi, Indrani, Devaki, Ashera and I'm sure I've missed some names.
Who knows the Pope may one day declare Mary the queen of heaven also.
God has her number. God calls her Mother of Harlots, Mystery Babylon and His wrath will not forget her. With the help of Satan, she has confused and deceived many.
Noah's grandson's wife, Semiramis started all of this queen of heaven garbage giving goddesses names. Noah's grandson Nimrod and his son Tammuz were called other names also, Horus, Attis, Crishna, Iswara, Deoius and Janus and Baal to name a few.

You will not find any sound, balanced Biblical teaching showing that Mary is any more than the most blessed saint in history. What some have done is taken bits of passages and a few other things, threw it in a blender with a huge dose of circular reasoning and that is all they have.
I do not wish to disrespect the R.C. folk, but I do believe that the doctrines which are exclusive to their denomination are false and deceptive. I also know that there are many Catholics who truly love Jesus - they just need to get back to what scriptures have to say and release the paganistic doctrines and traditions which do no more than hold them back.

First, you need to learn something about Catholic Sacred Tradition. You were told in another post that the Church does not accept the doctrine of Sola Scriptura so why are you flogging a dead horse?
Queen of Heaven is indeed one of many titles by which the Blessed Virgin Mary is honoured. I'll refer you to the prayers known as the "Salve Regina" and "Regina Caeli." Regina is the Latin word for Queen. Google them. There are copies on the Internet.

The gebirah, mother of the king, was an important office in Kings and Chronicles since there were many queen-wives but only one queen -mother. Bathsheba is petioned to go to Solomon.
If Jesus is King of heaven then His Mother is Queen of heaven and if we are brothers and sisters of jesus then Mary of Nazareth is our mother.
Mary is not Venus/Astarte/Ishtar who usurps the title of Queen of heaven but she is the real Queen of heaven just as the Trinity is true Lord of Heaven and Jesus ,Incarnate god whose humanity is from the Virgin Mary, is the King of heaven and Earth, the Pantocrator,Ruler of All.

Good work Bryan. This is a problem that many catholics need to deal with. The cathloic clergy discourage bible study among their parishoners because it challenges their authority. This is exactly what Jesus was concerned about when He told the pharisees that they make void the Word of God by their traditions. Much reform is needed in the catholic church. I was raised catholic and when I got spiritually hungry I had to leave it so I could grow. Other problem doctrines they have are infant baptism and clergy celibacy.
