How to track Normandy Clarinet by using the serial number???

I have a wooden Normandy clarinet made in France bought probably around mid 1940's and I'm not sure how I can track down when exactly it was bought and made. I've already tried google and other search engines. Any ideas??????

Take it to a good music store in the city where you live. Perhaps they have a catalogue where it can be traced by Serial Number.
