Of course we're not going to die. Listen, the level of global warming that we're experiencing now is nothing compared to other eras in the Earth's history. Could global warming displace people living on the coasts of the world? Yes. Could it cause disruption in agriculture? Sure. Will that mean the end of humankind? Certainly not and most of the major changes won't happen in your life time.

Don't be too scared.

Global warming is real and it will cause real problems. But don't be too scared either...

The press earns its money, like everyone else, by sales. On TV the money comes from advertisers who pay based on how many people watch.

There is nothing like scaring people to get their attention and get them to watch. This is why most news reports are about negative things and this is why you shouldn't be too worried. It is their job to scare you.

So, drive a bit less and do other environmental things like that, and enjoy the good things that are in your life. Listen to the news sparingly. It is TRYING to scare you.

Yes. According to historical temperature dating, the natural warming cycle should begin in 10 to 20 thousand years.

People will die, but mostly in countries where life is already marginal. Many coastal areas will be flooded, as has happened recently in Mexico, Indonesia and Bangladesh. These types of disasters will become more common. Water shortages will become extreme. There will be critical problems with water in parts of Africa and Asia. In more developed countries, water will simply become less abundant and more expensive, as it is already in the American southwest and southeast. There will be dramatic impacts on wildlife almost immediately. Polar bears, some seal species, and some kinds of whale are already dying off. This will increase in arctic areas and in the dry areas of Africa and Asia. The flooding of major cities will largely be prevented with ever-larger seawalls, but the cost will be staggering. Stay tuned.

Global warming is a very serious issue, but with or without it you are still going to die at some time. You won't live in this body for ever.

Do your part to lower your carbon footprint and be happy about that.

cheers.

No. If you live in a rich country, you won't die.

It won't be a Hollywood style disaster. Gradually coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged. But it will be very bad. Rich countries will cope, but it will take huge amounts of money. In poor countries many people will die of starvation, but not all of them.

Most scientists say, in 20-50 years. But we need to start right now to fix it, fixing it will take even longer than that.

for global warming to actually kill us it would have to raise temps world wide by at least 100 degrees then it would kill us. even if the icecaps melt it wouldnt flood all the world more then half of europe and the us would still be fine. but were all parasites were going to kill ourselves anyways

eventually.

but everyone's gonna be gone eventually, if its global warming, shortage on water, world corruption, some sort of virus, we'll all die anyway.

Worst case scenario is that our population density and agricultural production will shift locations to accomodate changes in the ecology.

Global warming is a myth. Yes, you are going to die, but it'll probably be of old age or cancer or something.
